In 1999, I was excommunicated from my Catholic church and literally thrown out on the streets. The very “God” I’d grown to know and love had followers who spared no expense in expelling me from their lives, all because I called the police when someone broke into my house. Over the next ten years, I began to discover the evils of Christianity and the many things that they do wrong to the world – their evils and horrible displays of obstruction of justice. I learned that 40 million people died as a result of the actions of the Christian policy of “spreading the word of God.” I don’t mean to slander the name of Jesus – I have respect for him as a philosopher and as a man – but “His God” has been a figure tragically skewed by the personal beliefs of mankind – namely racism, religious prejudice and sexism.
Last year, I found a book called “Witchcraft Today” by Gerald B. Gardner and began to read it. Naturally, as an outcast of Christ, I was originally only attracted to it by the title alone. What I found, however, was not Satanic, nor was it even remotely close to “evil.” It was not anything like the poison that Christianity had fed me. Wicca is a beautiful belief and it has a spiritual power unlike that of any other belief that I have experimented with in my quest to find something to believe in.
Immediately after buying the book, reading it thoroughly and performing rituals on a daily basis, I began to experience life changes that were almost revolutionary in nature. The death threats that I received from my former friends in church ceased immediately. The social consequences I faced for my actions vanished almost overnight. My social life blossomed. I was promoted at my job to become the new manager. I became confident, lost weight, and became a better character. Within 30 days of taking up Wicca, my life went into a 180.
I would like to thank the people who put this blog up and apologize to the neopagan community for the actions my ex-superiors and ex-friends in the Church forced me to take in shunning such beautiful people. It is thanks to people such as yourselves that my life has become something almost surreal, so incredibly awesome that I still have trouble comprehending it.
If you are reading this comment now, as of yet unaware of just what Wicca is all about, I encourage you to give it a look. Even if you find that it is not the right belief for you, it will perhaps give you some insight as to who we are, and release you from the confines of what you have been taught.

My dear friend, this spell that has been brought apon you does not have to haunt you your entire life. Every person is entitled to their own free will and well being. To step out from under this Black Cloud, you must guide yourself to take the first steps. You cannot cover it up and try to ignore it with another spell, that is just like putting an unbrella over yourself… but what if the lightning strikes? Only you can get yourself away from this, look deep into your spirtuality. This about how strong you are, how far you’ve made it, and how far you will make it. Nothing can stop you.
